Desire, the noose – or desire, the creator!
Desire, a force so ethereal and light,
Can bring about transformation, so bright,
Good wishes and aspirations it ignites,
As we strive for excellence with all our might.
But when desire takes on a grosser form,
It turns into a noose that tightens, to transform,
Our dreams into a suffocating prison,
A trap that we fall into, without reason.
The noose of desire chokes and strangles,
Our hopes and dreams, until they tangle,
The self, once free, now caught in a trap,
A life once vibrant, now left to collapse.
But if we learn to apply desire well,
Its power can lift us, and we can excel,
The noose becomes a tool, to create,
A world where we can grow and innovate.
So, let us not fear desire's strength,
But instead use it, to go to great lengths,
To achieve all that we hope and aspire,
And avoid the noose that brings only fire.
